World day of prayer happens ever year on the first Friday in March. Although we will be celebrating virtually, this year is no different.
Please join us Friday March 5 at 3pm on zoom to watch the 1 1/2 hour presentation and time of prayer. We require preregistration so please send me an email Fathermyrheim@gmail.com or call me at 3067672458. If you are uncomfortable with zoom, we will be setting up the projector at St. Lucy Catholic Church in Arborfield and have a couple of socially distanced seats left.
This past Good Friday, Canadian Martyrs parish in Carrot River hosted an interdenominational Outdoor Way of the Cross walk. About 30 gathered from not only the catholic church, but the Mennonite and United congregations as well. The Way of the Cross follows the path of Jesus on Good Friday, from His condemnation, His carrying the Cross to Golgotha, to His crucifixion. We stopped at 12 stations throughout the community, praying for different members and organizations: for example, we prayed for the elementary and high school students, and we prayed for the elderly outside the Care Centre.
